when i die just say you knew
i wanted chicken wings and tater tots too
a scenic beach with a penthouse pew

i want an oprah and gayle interview
just to say look i made it too

i want a poem in my name
a dove to sing at the hall of fame
a bed full of ashes buried in flames
a burden to carry for a last name

the last rites are a last breath of sorts
chosen to die by a system fed by courts

the course of action to take it always seems
is death by destruction by any means

marcellus died with chicken wings and tater tots
i pray when i see him it will be in camelot
a jury of his peers, not to judge, but trot
down the road paved with the love he never got
